Divine Proportions of dress

Fashion is architecture, It is a matter of proportion. Coco Chanel.

I love this phrase recently listen and resonated with me. The proportions are expressed by numbers; one of those things that at first I did not like, but I've learned to love and understand. If you 10 years have told me that I would like math I would not have believed. Nevertheless, I have learned that the numbers are a divine language.

Mathematics are reflected in all creation and show us the dynamism of life. Numbers are present in architecture, arts and fashion. In nature the numbers show us the beauty in the proportions. Style buildings, works of art and fashion are changing through time, however remains a taste for harmony and proportion.

Shapes and designs we see in the architecture are changing according to the time and we see this replicated in fashion trends and what impacts us as a society, to translate it into a garment. For example, the strong growth of the movement Women's Empowerment, It has to do with strong shoulders in women's clothing.

But how to relate architecture to fashion? Good considering that architects take so much time creating beautiful structures, harmonic, proportionate and that there is a proportion in everything we see around us, Why do not we do the same with our locker room to see us beautiful and unique?

The golden number or Fibonacci, Discovered by Leonardo Da Vinci is just that, proportions are expressed as follows.

1:2

2:3

3:5

8:13

He discovered that all, Even the human body found that proportion and so it seems beautiful. Anything that has this ratio is aesthetically and visually appealing; a plant, a flower or even the forms found in water. Why we not also use in our locker room to promote our ways?

We can use ratios 1:2, 2:3 Y 3:5 to promote our outfits, since the human body is approximately 8 heads, Check it out if you want. If we make horizontal lines on our bodies with these proportions we create balance according to our height. The body looks more stylish and beautiful.

To achieve a ratio 1:2 used garments which have the same measure. That is to say, a long garment and other short, for example, a mini-skirt with a jacket that reaches to the hip bone, instead of a skirt with a shirt tucked in. This also has to do with the proportions of your body because if the torso is long shirt tucked works best.

  1. Wow!! He knew the Fibonacci number but never ever imagined that I would have to do in our day to day!!! I will apply everything I learned, I loved it!!! A greeting and a hug grand!!!

  2. I have learned you muchiiiiiisimo. If I had read some of the proportions but I'm terrible in those of the number… in this post I could see reflected the pieces really should not have to use the same amount I use many blouses to the hip bone as I am altiiiisima but not long torso .. and that gives me balance between torso and legs. Thank you for teaching you all to read

  3. go! I had no idea all this….,You leave me crazy haha. True, the numbers are part of many things, We do not see, But they are there. For all necessary measure and accounts. I liked to read you and learn something new
