The spearmint is one of my favorite colors especially in hot weather, because it's a cool tone and gives some liveliness to your look. It looks good in cool shades if your variation contains more blue than yellow (its composition mostly a mixture of blue and pale yellow). 
Use this color in a beautiful dress with some embroidered in the same tone to go to a wedding or you're planning a wedding dress consider it for bridesmaids. In an elegant casual look you can wear a shirt in vede mint with a little glitter or taches. 
This color looks great with neutral colors like gray and dark blue, It is a stark contrast but draws attention. It also looks good with peach tones combination that makes your outfit look more youthful and charming. Dark red looks good with green mint if you want a more classic look.
As for makeup must take into account bright tones, because mint green is a color that evokes the freshness of spring, a bright orange lips looks great and much attention.
